The Harlan County Coal Burners will be set up at the following location on Wed, Aug 3 rd at Miner's Market in Verda.
We will be set up from 11 until we sell out. Pre-orders are welcomed and encouraged for ribs. Pre-orders can be completed by visiting the Harlan County Coal Burners Facebook page and messaging us.
If you haven't given us a try, you will definitely want to put our BBQ on your to do list. We have a variety of menu items that you are sure to enjoy. We add new menu items often and we guarantee you have not tasted any better, any where else.
We are a competition BBQ team that consists of a coal miner and wife team. We have multiple team members consisting of family making us a local family business. Jeremy Brock and his wife Rebecca Brock are the owners and operators. They make a fabulous team and have won many awards for their great tasting BBQ.
Enough about us, now for our menu items.....
Our ribs are to die for. They are so good you will visit us again for more. We receive our biggest complements for our ribs and have won many awards. The most recent award was 2nd place in ribs at a competition in Wise, Va. Our ribs are smoked to perfection with a pecan wood and sauced how you like them when they are served. Pre-orders are always encouraged for the ribs. They fly out the door faster than we can make them. Sure to please any appetite.
Our pulled pork will melt in your mouth. It too is a favorite of all and has won its own share of awards. We inject it, slowly smoke it, shred it up and make it available every time we set up. The pork is always tasty, tender and juicy. Pork can be puchased as a sandwich or by the pound. We also use it on our nachos and baked potatoes that we will mention later on.
Our beef brisket can't be beat. This menu item is quite the delicacy and sells out quickly as well. The brisket is the most expensive cut of meat we sell. We have numerous awards for this item as well. Cut or shredded it is an awesome, juicy and tender cut of meat. Brisket is only sold by the sandwich or by itself in a meal. We do not sell brisket by the pound. This is one item you will definitely want to try if you haven't and if you have had it then you know you have to have it again.
The chicken you see here is competition chicken. We serve our fans only the best quality boneless chicken breasts. Smoked, juicy and oh so tender, your tummy will be tickled pink. Chicken has won several awards as well. It is the favorite among many of our patrons. It is sold as a sandwich, by the pound or by itself in a meal with sides.
One of our newest menu items is the pulled pork or chicken nachos. It is a bed of nacho chips, pulled pork or chicken, our best bbq sauce, nacho cheese and jalapeno's if you like the added spice. It is quickly becoming a favorite of many. And it is very filling. If you haven't tried these then I highly suggest you do. You will not be sorry, I promise.
AND our newest addition. The pulled pork loaded baked potato. It comes with a baked potato, pulled pork, shredded or nacho cheese, our best bbq sauce and sour cream if you like. Oh my gosh are these good???? I tried my first one and now this has become my new favorite. It is sooooo tasty. You have to try this!!!
We also have our sides: corn, baked beans and cole slaw. We are considering new sides to add as well.
